I’m not sure you can call your room a man cave without having a dartboard in there… If you’re looking for new man cave dartboard ideas then we’ve got you covered. By scrolling through Etsy and Pinterest we’ve found some amazing DIY dart board ideas that you need for your man cave.

This dartboard design is not for someone with OCD… However, if you like quirky designs and artwork that is more abstract then this backboard is for you. This wood is burnt with a torch to make it look rustic, there are tonnes of YouTube videos on how you can do this at home. I would say this design is more cost-effective than some of the others I’m going to show you, if you can get the panels for cheap, the rest is just the wood glue and the finish.

Now, this design is a little more complicated… to take a beer/whiskey barrel, cut it in half and then carve out the front to make a really rustic looking dartboard cover is not something everyone is going to be able to do.
But if you’re feeling brave and have a barrel you can use then this is really going to make your man cave pop and it’ll be a huge talking point too. I can’t say I have the skills, time or expertise to make something like this, but if you’re skilled enough and want an amazing feature then give it a go!

Man cave dart board ideas don’t come more DIY than this
What’s really starting to take off is this idea of taking old corks and placing them in artistic ways around the dartboard to catch any stray darts.
I absolutely love the style and would probably buy one but I don’t think I’d have the patience to individually stick each of those corks on…
This might just be the grumpy young man in me but if you’re going to create this kind of dartboard then expect to make a few mistakes & swear a lot but once it’s finished you’ll have something to truly be proud of.

If you have a wall in your man cave that needs renovating or looking after, and you’re a keen darts player, then building a whole feature wall might be a great idea for you.
This is simply just wooden panel boards nailed or screwed to the wall behind and it actually turns a boring old dartboard into a complete feature and gives your man cave a rustic look!
This looks stunning and actually wouldn’t be very difficult to do at all.

Now, this one is not for DIY beginners. If you really want a smart-looking DIY dartboard with an LED light and dart holders that is finished beautifully and rustically then you’re going to have to put some serious work in.
This design is amazing and wouldn’t look out of place in a rustic man cave, however, to make something like this is going to take some hours of work, trial, error, blood, sweat & tears…
But if you can pull off anything close to this design then you’ll be laughing when your friends come over and ask “where did you buy that from?”
Overview
Hopefully the above gives you some inspiration to turn your dart board into a piece of art and a feature in your man cave as opposed to just sticking it on the wall and worrying every time a stray dart pierces the wall plaster…
